Hi there,
I have worked on a proofing system based on Epson 1290 and previously on
a 2000P (without RIP) and SpectroCam with ColorVision ProfilerPro (on
Mac). I have had very good results as far as color accuracy is
considered, but color saturation is where it fails.
The Epson 6 color inks proofs are always more saturated than the
resulting press prints due the the difference of ink quality, which
leads often to a lack of strength in the final visual. The 2000P prints
where way too saturated in some colors, the 1290 prints are better
balanced but still too strong.
Is there a way I can get more accurate proofs without ruining the
company, whether by using another printer with duller and more press
like inks or by tweaking something in my actual tools or using another
paper?
Thanks!
Best regards,
Paul Schilliger
