Hello, I was able to get my hands on an Epson 2200 this weekend and
started building profiles for it for the Archival Matte Paper using
the Epson driver. I am using the Matte Black cartridge.
First off I am confused as to the Macintosh driver version 7.2Ca or
7.28A (depending on where you look at the version number). The only
paper stocks listed are Plain Paper, Enhanced Matte Paper, Velvet
Fine Art Paper and Watercolor Paper - Radiant White. The Velvet Fine
Art Paper is grayed-out and unavailable. What am I to do for coated
stocks when I profile them? Should I wait for an update? Hopefully
you beta testers can answer that one for me!
This part I can answer. The printer reports to the driver that the
Matte Black cartridge is loaded, and only lists those papers for
which the Matte Black is designed. The coated papers will show up
when you load the Photo Black cartridge.
