ColorVision reviewed their licensing policy about the time of the
last round of discussions here with the intent of making adjustments to
ProfilerPRO's licensing terms, but I have seen no changes make it to the
shipping product yet. I have not noticed Monaco, ColorBlind, ProfileCity, or
Praxisoft changing their usage restictions either.
I will not buy anymore profiling tools that won't let me legally
make profiles for friends or associates - at least in a limited way.
I respect the effort that goes into the R&D of DTP products and do
honor license agreements but this whole profile ownership issue seems
a bit tight to me. I am not a good capitalist though so perhaps my
poverty has skewed my vision.
So what applications do allow a modest amount of profile trading? I
am confused about wether or not GretagMacbeth allows it or not.
