If you can obtain the spectral reflectance data from the Spectrolino, you can
use the spreadsheet density.xls at
http://www.digitalcolour.org/understanding/
to calculate various types of density.

As others have pointed out, there is no direct transformation. You could make
measurements of a step wedge in the required colour and numerically fit L* to
density, but the calculation would only work for that ink and substrate.
