I was referring to essentially the monitor cal/profiling solution. If the
quality control is going down that'd would be Mitsubishi. I saw on the tech
news that the NEC side was having problems financially ,yet who knows if
this could be a reason for QC on Mitsu monitors?
I had to return my Mitsubishi (not a branded LaCie) 2060 twice for the above
reasons. My LaCie electron 22 B111 though is really fine not only in colour,
evenness, and geometry. The calibration works very well for me also. The
question of the monitor's OEM quality then is disturbing to hear. Especially
so , as I've always liked the Mitsubishi screens better than the Sony
Trinitrons I had. The LCD screens they have are very nice. Now that I'm
aware that the screens could have potential problems, I'll check even
closer.
