Lacie/Mistsu display controls

It seems that when adjusting the RGB guns, or color temperature with the on screen controls for my Mitsubishi 2040U (same as Lacie, exactly) changing one undoes the other. Dumb question I know, but are they simply two different interfaces to adjust the same thing?
Documentation is near nonexistent.
