There is one more thing to consider:
IF your printer is laying down the ink only when its printhead
is moving in one direction (unidirectional printing), then the profile
generated will be OK. But,...
IF your printer is using a bidirectional printmode, then the color
obtained when printing in one direction is definitely different from
the color obtained when printing in the reverse direction.
As Bruce says, the profile only responds to Lab tristumuli,
but for quality work in inkjet, to stay in the safe side, always make
sure you are using a unidirectional printmode.
