I nearly fell out of my chair when I read that! If it is true (and I have no
reason to doubt you) then just think of the confusion that will result when
people unknowingly use and compare these D65 Lab values against the D50 Lab
found in other instruments, Photoshop, ICC, etc. Big mistake on Pantone's
part, IMO.

That sounds like the same ColorSavvy technology used in their ColorMouse
products. Do you know if it is the same "engine" licensed from ColorSavvy? I
never liked that technology because its accuracy is inherently limited.
