I'm not sure this has bearing or not but I did get this from GretagMacbeth
today (how they detect UV):
...the detection of optical brighteners is not only based on a -b
analysis. This would lead to big problems on blueish papers. We are rather
checking the whole spectrum of the paperwhite in order to detect suspicious
remissions. That`s why we need spectral data in order to use the function.
This I believe is the reason all ProfileMaker Pro 4.X users want to insure
they pick "Spectral" readings as a preference in MeasureTool (this defaults
to being on in the ProfileMaker Pro module).
