I have just installed OSX10.2 (G4 Quicksilver) and applied all the current
Apple updates including 10.2.3, I then followed Gretag's instuctions about
using terminal and removing unwanted files (Aladdin, aksusbd) then installed
Profile Maker 4.11 along with Keyspan Utility v1.4 and Dongle Driver (HASP)
for 10.2 from the Gretag.com web site - and I still cannot get the software
to recognise the Spectrolino.
For further info.
I am using the ProfileMaker Pro Bundle (the Spectrolino is the dongle).
The Spectrolino is plugged into the powered Mac serial cable (arrow to Mac)
which is then plugged into the Gretag Macbeth Adapter Mini DIN that is
connected to the GoHubs adapter, then connected to the 2nd USB port on the
back of the Mac via the USB cable (this configuration works perfectly when
the Mac is booted into OS9.2).
If I run the Keyspan utility it does not recognize any devices. When I
launch Measure Tool, (demo mode only) select Instument Configuration >
Spectrolino > transmission I only get 'Auto' port and message 'Not Found'.
I have uninstalled, reinstalled, rebooted, reconnected in all permutations
to no avail.
Help!
Regards
Neal Singleton
