If you are going to 'test' for raw scans, putting in a tonal curve is not
getting you there. The 3000 series has plenty of curves for all situations
(light, dark, open shadows etc) and just jack around the info to fit into
some cmyk printing situation. If you want raw scans to use in an ICC
workflow and to see the scanners range then eliminate all the curves.
