Before everyone is publicly "flogging" Xerox, I have to say that the Xerox
790 has NONE of these problems. I have had EXCELLENT results with the 790.
The 790 doesn't have all of the features of the 7770, but it uses a Fiery
RIP and EFI ColorWise software to calibrate. It is one of the fastest
quality color laser printers I've seen, at a really decent price. I find it
really handy as a quick proofing printer. You can also calibrate it using a
DTP32 or with a bit of fiddling a DTP41. I've been able to create profiles
for it with no problems using ColorBlind. You can also proof simulations
with the RIP, and can upload any profile to it. Xerox were also VERY helpful
in Australia. They were happy to lend us a demo printer for several weeks.
So if you're unhappy with the 7770 - take it back and get the 790.

I haven't used the PhaserMatch software. From the sounds of it, it doesn't
sound well thought out. But I can't say a single bad thing about Xerox's
printers.
