Apple LCD's only have ADC connectors, so you cannot directly hook one to a
VGA output (like the PB G4 has). You might be able to find a VGA to ADC
converter, but that would likely be expensive (converts from analog VGA to
digital signals) and have a lower quality picture.

I also don't think they have any switching capabilities like the Mitsubishi
(that would require the display to have more than one ADC input).

As for monitor resolutions, I just connected a Mitsubishi 900U to my PB G4
and I see the following under Mac OS X:

1024 x 768 85 Hz
1152 x 870 75 Hz
1280 x 960 75 Hz
1280 x 1024 75 Hz
1600 x 1200 75 Hz
