Dear Thomas,
Unfortunately this is not possible. Sam at Imac is a dealer for our RIP and
the documentation is purely for our dealer channel and cannot be given to
'outsiders'.
However, it basically states the procedures for applying colour management
in Photoshop (ie Assign Profile, Convert to profile etc) and that whatever
the output profile is set to should match the input profile in the RIP.
To eliminate, or at least reduce, things like Scum Dot you/designers should
create the file within the colour space that will be exported and therefore
'recognised' instantly by the RIP; or at the very least supply the profile
that they have used.
If you have a look through the archive in the ColourSync list there are many
suggestion/explanations of these procedures and their consequences.
