> Hi
Can anyone explain why this is happening.
Photoshop 5.5 Mac G4
Using ICC as the CMYK "model". When I use any of the CMM engines (Apple
Colorsync, Agfa, Heidelberg, Apple, X-rite) my default white is 1% cyan.
When I switch the engine to "built-in or I switch the model to "built-in" I
get 0% in all channels. I can fill any channel by itself with default white
and I get 0%, but when I have all channels selected the info box gives me 1%
cyan.
When I change profiles I get even more egregious readings 5% cyan 1% magenta
for example.
Is my only solution to tweek my profile further? <

Robert - you don't have ABSOLUTE colorimetric rendering in use by any chance
do you?

You mention changing CMM but what about render intents?

Regards,

Stephen Marsh.
