Elyse,
You question bears asking yourself how exact of a grey are needing? For
inexpensive, get the job done, take a Kodak grey card or better yet a Gretag
ColorChecker to your paint shop and have them match COLOR paints to get you
in the ball park. If using the Gretag ColorChecker chart for matching
purposes select the N-8 grey patch (look on the back of the chart to
determine which patch from the listing)
If you have deep pockets you can purchase expensive paint from GTI
(lighting booth manufacturer) or GretagMacbeth. Booth have paints specially
designed for this purpose.
For me, I would the below paints that came recommended from the Kodak
ColorFlow team.
I trust Kodak more than a paint shops matching system.
Munsell N-8:
Sherwin Williams Zircon2129 Flat
Benjamin Moore 1480
(Guaranteed to be within 3 delta E of Munsell N-8, and a lot cheaper)
Have fun painting!
