It doesn't have to be quite that difficult, Andrew. If you open both fines,
and go to the channels menu you can drag the Cyan channel from one file onto
the image window of the other file, where it will show as Alpha channel 1.
Then make that channel active, select all, and copy. Select the Cyan channel,
select all, and paste. Now your Cyan channel from teh other document is in
the Cyan channel of this document. Trash the alpha channel and save the file
under a new name. Its even simpler if you make the Cyan channel the only one
visible and highlighted in the first doc, copy it, and (again making it the
only channel visible and active) paste into the Cyan channel of the other.
Same result without the Alpha channel being needed.
