You know - plenty of paint stores these days have
color matching devices.
You could take the Kodak grey scale in and they will"measure"
it and supply the matching tint.
I don't know that is a photospectro or anything
but it does alright.
I regularly use my photospectro. and
X-rites Digital Swatchbook to read values of specific
colors for painting around my friends houses -
then use the compare feature to determine
compatable, opposite, nearest neighbor - etc ...
colors for the decor.
Then I will create large digital proofs that they will
hang together in various parts of the house,
for various periods of time,
to determine if they like it.
To date - no failures !
