I have Levolors which keep the light in my office soft all day. However, when
it gets down to the serious work of imaging, I have a set of black-out shades
with a magnetic strip to close them tightly together. Over those is a set of
curtains that look nice when everything is pulled back. They are also larger
than the black-outs and, consequently, help block any stray light that leaks
in from the perimeter of the black-outs. Makes it nice for sleeping during
the day too.
Hope this helps.
