I can, to some degree. I've not jumped to the shipping version, but here's
what I found in the beta:
1. You now have rendering intents! And these can be assigned image by image.
You are locked in to whatever rendering intent you specify in CMS
preferences for your RGB, CMYK, and Hexachrome colors, but imported objects
can be modified.
2. It will modify TIFF, GIF, and JPEG data. RGB and CMYK.
3. It modifies Pantone data for display (if prefs has been asked to do so),
but not during output. Not sure if it does for Hexa (don't have profiles,
never even tried), but it seems that it should. I'll need help here.
4. It does about as good a job as PageMaker's CMS--which isn't bad.
Considering PageMaker's CMS has been around for awhile, they're still behind
the curve. But it's a heckuvalot better than QXP 4.
I'm sure Henrik will have a more complete write-up (he promised us this
much), but those are my initial reactions. I have more, but I'm in a rush.
If we haven't heard from Mr. H. by end of day tomorrow, I'll spend a few
minutes on Saturday morning (US time) on a more complete write-up.
