Any ideas?
What you have described is an accurate description of what happened to me
last year while giving a demonstration of the joys of colour management on a
client site to 17 people. I had previously never had any problems with
Optical and then this happened at the worst possible time.
It turned out to be a network problem. I had not logged in as
"administrator" when I loaded Optical and the program had not installed
properly. It worked fine through Pre-cal but the luminance readings went
crazy when I tried to calibrate and profile. I re-installed correctly and
all was well. I have not had any problems since with any version of Optical.
I hope this is of some assistance.
