Yes I can see sending 30 Quark pages out as EPS and then RIP in Photoshop a

Is it just me or is there something I9m missing by recommending for users
consider saving $600-$1000 and RIP files in Photoshop and print RGB from
CMYK (using good profiles) directly to their Quickdraw printers? I wish you
could all see the output here. The RGB files are remarkably close to
matching the contract proof and with a round or two of some profile tuning,
the match would be amazing.
That has been my experience also. I have had good results with the
BEST RIP on a 10000, but it's massive overkill for the 1270. I got
great color matching and really nasty screening from the late Aurelon
product, but the way that comany was handled left me deciding never,
ever, to do business with those people again.
I've yet to see a RIP that gives equally good screening and better
color matching than simply doing Absco rendering of CMYK out of
Photoshop to the QD driver. But I live in hope...
