So I think 2.2 is pretty close to ideal.
You remind me of the three statisticians who went hunting. They spotted a
deer across the clearing and the first statistician rasied his gun and fired,
missing the deer a couple feet to the left. The second statistician then
fired, missing the deer again, this time a couple feet to the right. The
third statistician put his gun down and shouted "By God, we got him!"
