I think you'll also find a very big difference in the gamut between the
dye and original pigment inks if you do testing on other kinds of media
as I have a number of profiles made with ProfileMaker 3 and 4 for dye and
pigment based 10000's and 3D modeling reveals the gamuts can be extremely
different with the pigment based being significantly smaller in many
cases.
I just today for the first time saw a 3D model comparing dye inks to the
new Ultrachrome pigment inks and they are virtually identical. I'd have
to check and see what media was used, but I think it was Photo paper (so
glossy paper, not glossy film).
