Well, it seems like things have improved with 1.1.1 but we are still a long way from where we need to be.
iPhoto 1.1.1 _retains_ embedded profiles - this is good but...
- embedded profiles are not used for display
- embedded profiles are not used for printing
- embedded profiles are not used for extended services like photo prints and books.
how (and why) they get around Quartz's build-in color management escapes me.
why Apple would even release an app that does exploit the color management capabilities of OS X is really beyond me. We have an application that takes digital photo handling to the masses, and OS that can support color management for the masses and yet.....
do we need to take the two teams out for beers or something?
