OK, what does "Make Default Mode" mean?
A printer could have multiple modes like Glossy Photo, Plain Paper, or
High Quality Inkjet Paper, and register a different profile for each
mode. One of these is the default mode, the mode it starts up in by
default. You can choose which one to make the default mode.
And what does it mean if I change
the Current Profile for an inkjet printer? Is this a means of changing
the profile for a printer that has a driver with no UI means of
selecting
a ColorSync profile?
Right, that's the idea. You can change the profile of a printer here.
