Chances are your images are being misprofiled, due to data in the header. Try
using the "don't color manage" option, then assigning the actual color space
you want as a source, then converting to the workingspace you prefer, if
needed. I find that my Olympus E-10 and E-20 images, which used to open
directly into AdobeRGB in PS6 with no problem now are assumed to be sRGB in
PS7 (which they definately are not), so I need to refuse to color manage
them, then remember to assign AdobeRGB during processing or on saving.
