I apologize for the confusion I have caused by jumping in on this issue.
As Chris Cox correctly pointed out, I meant to say that my use of the word
"Maximum" was meant with reference to the "JPEG (maximum quality)" setting
in the "Save As... EPS Options" dialog box in Photoshop and not the "Quality
0" setting in the "Save As...JPEG" dialog.
I try hard to fight a tendency to click the send button before carefully
checking but...
