In Profile Maker the output TAC is user controlled. In PrintOpen the Black
will be reduced <g> by two things, GCR in particular, and can't always be
set to 400%
I don't have Postershop. In Best if you use a press reference profile then
the L value of the press will be simulated on the inkjet regardless of your
paper profile which should be indeed be max inking when the user parameters
are set in profile creation. If you want just the inkjet profile to output
to a maximum density equivalent to the set 400% then you use the inkjet
profile only. This brings up the age old choice of do you linearise for
maximum gamut, or a grey balance and density range similar to a press.
