Hi Roger,
with the new UltraCrome Inks from Epson it is possible to print only
with CMY without reducing the gamut extremly. The "long wide black"
will reduce the amount of ink to the paper and so it sve your money,
also the little "Rainbow effects" which you can see sometimes in the
graybalance will be reduced or better eliminated.

I hadn't seen any of those reactions yet, but the "reverse lightning"
which you can see if you put to much Ink on the paper (colors which
should be dark gets bright)is also improved.

No.

Und, would this advice also applies to dye-based inks?
The Problem with DYE based Inks is the sice and color of the black.
Black Dots inside of Red are visible, but with UltraCrome Inks you
can't see them.
