I'd still go through the routine of measuring the print until it was stable -- there's more to the print curing than simply ink drying. The Epson Ultrachrome inks, for example, are dry when they come out of the printer -- they won't smear or rub off -- but they still take time to reach final color. The hairdryer might help some, but I wouldn't assume so without checking!
