These sound OK but the most important thing I have found is to profile it as

anyway.
Can you elaborate on this Steve? I just left a customer where I attempted to
profile their Epson 7000/Fiery v1.4 RIP and it was frustrating to say the
least.
The method I used was setting the RGB Source to <NONE> and the CMYK
Simulation to <NONE> and then tried several Media Settings with my profiling
target and a TAC/Linearization target of my own design. They were using a
third party glossy paper so I simply picked the one that gave me the "best"
results without overinking and profiled this. When I plugged this profile in
as "Output-1" using ColorWise and printed, it was pretty much garbage.
I even printed a RGB target using the above parameters but it simply didn't
"look right" so I didn't even bother measuring it (I'd heard also that it
profiles better as RGB). I'm looking for any docs that may describe the
exact procedure for profiling one of these beasts.
