Tony:
Just burn two pieces of paper. Piece #1 - print a standard gray ramp using
"Printer Color Management" then in the Epson driver choose "No Color
Adjustment". Any media setting any resolution you want. Then Piece #2 use
THE EXACT SAME SETTINGS for everything except change to Mode "Custom - Color
Controls go to the advanced dialog and Set gamma to 2.2 and use either
"automatic" or "photo realistic".
I tend to like these printers best in 1440 bi - directional mode FWIW.
Decide for yourself which is more linear. What the heck - Profile em both
make prints and decide which you like better. Choose which you like better
and be done with this whole discussion - I'm beginning to be sorry I ever
brought this up :=)
If its any consolation I still can't decide whether I like the Fender Super
Reverb or Blackface Twin better.
Nick
