The included Colorsync AppleScripts don't support the EPS file format,
you'd have to write an AppleScript capable of parsing PostScript to do
this. So it's the script, not the file.

If it's checked and you're doing this in Photoshop 5, 6 or 7 then it's
in
there. Just make sure you aren't using "PostScript Color Management"
unless you like really bad results.
Thanks for your response Chris, but I should explain more about what we
are trying to do. We are attempting to do a proof of a clients' Quark
document which includes EPS files of images. We are using an Iris
proofer and Mac IQ Pro 4.1. We can color manage and proof tif files,
but EPS files just don't seem to work. It seems that EPS files outside
of Photoshop don't support color management. Even an EPS file printed
by itself (not using Quark) cannot be color managed- at least by us.
