Ok one more try then I'll quit too. What many of us are trying to say is camera profiling does not work
when you try to profile each scene, an idea that just won't die. But does work most of the time when
viewing camera profiling as a carefully controlled separate act. So I think we are trying very hard to
explain why it might not work and have given any number of clear and precise reasons for not profiling
individual scenes. I can not imagine any way to make that any clearer. And yes I think casting this as
practical verses theoretical is perfectly valid when we have posts stating that camera profiling is
impossible, and yet many of us are 1. seeing the benefits first hand and 2. saying so right here.
