I've been meaning to write this up, but I'm lazy...
The day before MacWorld SF, we were setting up the company LCD projector and
a machine to watch the keynote. After powering on the projector we noticed
that the picture was all messed up. In particular, the blue channel was
almost nonexistent. We fiddled with cables and settings to no-avail; the
projector was busted.
Then I had an idea that made everyone in the room cringe. I opened the
Monitors control panel and ran the ColorSync calibration assistant. By
tweaking the Red and Green channels and bit, and almost maxing the Blue
channel, we actually got a watchable picture.
I'm not sure if this should be chalked up to "ColorSync saves the day" or
"ColorSync abuse". :-)
Dave
