In Adobe Gamma
in the Second? window -
where you load the starting profile ...
you also need to put your "new" profiles name in there -
replacing the loaded profile name.
Then also name the "new" profile the same thing
at the final save.

If not you just "rewrite" the LOADED profile.
That second window is a bit misleading.
Seems goofy - but that's how it works for me.
