iBook and Colorsync

I used Adobe Gamma to build a rough profile for my wife's Tangerine
iBook in OS 9. With my desktop G-4, I just move the profiles I create
with Photocal to the Colorsync folder in the OS X Library and it can be
selected with the OS X Display panel in System Prefs. For some reason,
the Adobe Gamma profile does not appear on the list in the IBook. Both
computers use the same versions of OS 9 & X.
Any suggestions? At some point I will upgrade my Colorvison Spyder for
the flat panel version, but I am trying to just get the color "in the
ballpark" for now.
Thanks in advance.
