ColorSync issues with CMYK images in OSX
ColorSync issues with CMYK images in OSX

After upgrading to OSX 10.1.4 all CMYK images that I try to print are VERY
over saturated in color. In applications that do not have their own color
managment (preview for example) the images appear on screen oversaturated as
well. If the same image is opened in Photoshop 7 using its own color
management it appears fine on screen but still prints with the saturation
problem....
What I have tried:
- Setting all ColorSync settings back to their defaults in the ColorSync
prefs.
- Deleting all ColorSync prefs I could find.
- Using ColorSync Utility's "profile first aid feature"
- Checked to see if the problem exists under different users (it does)
- Reset Photoshops ColorSync settings
- Removed the profile from the CMYK image so that it was set to "Untagged
CMYK" (This made no difference)
- Tried every CMYK profile available on my system (This made no difference)
- Searched high and low on the internet for some report of someone else with
this problem and/or a way to solve it (with no luck)
If anyone has anymore ideas on how I can fix this or even if you have seen
this problem before please let me know.
Thanks,
Jason
