That's what I find as well. So why allow the user to pick a profile in
System Prefs:ColorSync (OSX) which you can't do in OS9?
So that's what's confusing everybody? That's the only difference
between 9 and 10 in the ColorSync system pref, you can choose either a
"device" or a "profile" for each setting of Input, Display, and Output.
For Proof you can only choose a profile because you're unlikely to have
a press connected directly to your mac. Maybe we should get rid of the
Device Profiles tab in the ColorSync system pref...that way it'd be
unambiguous that you should set your display's profile in the Displays
system pref.
