I may be missing something here but the reference data will be RGB and your
measurement data will be LAB/XYZ so there's no direct way to compare back to
the reference data. The Compare function in Measure Tool requires that it be
the same type of data in the same testchart format.
Now, you could use ColorLab to convert your LAB measurements back to RGB
using the monitor profile and THEN compare it to the reference data (or take
the reference RGB data to LAB using the monitor profile - same thing). That
is certainly possible.
If you're familiar with Gretag profiles, you'll already know how to extract
the text of the reference and measurement data that
s embedded in one of the profile tags. ColorThink let's you do this quite
easily.
