Any similar experiences? Hints?
I see the green often on the HP10S. Even after calibrating with the supplied
rip there can be quite large green casts.
The Best rips in fact have better results out of the box. If you do a
linearisation for your printer then the green cast should have been
minimised. Sometimes the method for this printer is to do what one normally
doesn't do with inkjets, ie; use an early black start and a little wider.
You can do a printer linearisation (Best talk for printer re-calibration)
after to verify and control the linearisation table. The composite grey bar
is a good visual indicator of the resulting linearisation. I've seen large
variations depending on paper, green thru magenta.
Although you may have an average Delta e of 2 , look closer at your solid
magenta. You may have to edit the solid to add yellow as the ink tank
magenta is far too blue for an offset proofed process magenta. It's nice to
have this extended gamut though when proofing Pantone colors.
