I agree that the Epson driver is sufficient for most people's needs...but
it sounds to me from your earlier response that the only way to avoid the
posterizing (which could be a huge issue if your business is outputting
fine art reproduction or providing proofs for offset printing) is to have
some way of limiting the amount of ink the device is laying down. Myself, I
don't have a printer with this slider of which you speak. If a 3rd party
RIP gets me that much closer to "perfection" than I think it is a
worthwhile effort. This being said...I would much prefer the simplicity of
the Epson driver if there was a way to limit the amount of ink.
