One problem with the Adobe terminology for ISO 12647 is that 'Europe' is
composed of states which stubbornly insist on being different. Sweden uses
negative plate, Denmark uses positive plate. Let's skip Norway to avoid a
national crisis -:).
WRT gravure there are profiles on the ECI site. Gravure printers are
relatively few and highly industrialized which means they tend to have
in-house separation profiles. The ISO 12647 approach is intended for
sheetfed printers because the presses accept such a variety of jobs that a
baseline is badly needed.
A working group has been busy on a gravure profile valid for all Central
Europe. I haven't looked lately, though.
