RGB output profiles and RI

Hi list.

I have a LightJet (RGB device) profile that was made with Monaco PROFILER and Xrite DTP41 (linearized first). The outcome is very good, but there is some difference in density whether one chooses RelCol or Perceptural RI for the convert to profile in Photoshop using the new profile. Perceptual gives a overall lighter image, but I can see that the peak colors seem just a bit richer (over RelCol), esp. red. However I like the RelCol version better since the density doesnt change when you convert using this option.

The profile was made using the perceptual setting in Monaco Profiler. I tried making the same profile using RelCol in Profiler but I cant see any real difference on my test image (I am using the PDI test image). Now I was under the impression that all RGB-to-RGB profiles had to be only Perceptual, but of course my memory could be failing! Could anybody give me some advice here? Should I perhaps stick to perceptual and try to edit the profile so it doesnt lighten my image - or should I just use RelCol since it looks good that way?
Best regards
Chris
