Has anyone tested the various 22 in. Diamondtron Monitors such as the
Mitsubishi DP2070SB versus the LaCie? I've always had Trinitron monitors and
it could just be my bad luck but they don't seem to last very long before
the contrast drops (around 3 years).
Or, does anyone know if any of the magazines have posted reviews of large
CRTs that I could find online?
Do branded monitors using the same tubes really have different phoshors or
electronics? Is a Dell, or HP trinitron different from a Sony Trinitron with
the same dot pitch etc.
Thanks for the responses about the LaCie blue casing, I'm sure that you are
right that the effect if any would be marginal, I guess if I were designing
a product for color critical work it just seems funny to make it blue.
When using the OptiCal software for monitor calibration does everyone
achieve the preset parameters of .30 black and 80. white? Are these values
more difficult for larger monitors? Are there any monitors that can easily
achieve or exceed these values?
Sorry about all the questions, but I thought I'd toss them all out at one
time.
thanks in advance,
Jeff
