One of the finds from MacWorld and PhotoKina is basICColor display.
The $80 app supports your DTP92usb or the Gretag EyeOne series.
Pretty great technology for those whose monitors support DDC
communication. The newer monitors which have a port "B" on the back
often allow this new interface to automatically set the correct white
point, brightness, contrast, and do a couple other things. I have
found super shadow detail and smooth gradations as a result of
testing this application. It can be found at:

It is worth considering - even if one does not already own one of the
newer monitors.
