I have not seen this situation with PDFs, however, Pagemaker 6.5 strips
embedded profiles from placed documents (in favor of global CM settings) and
trashes them. And, if you are running Mac OS 9.0, they may not always show
up in the trash until maintenance time. This was fixed with OS 9.1 and later.
