Here's my quick take on these two RIPS.
BESTcolor is more flexible than ImagePrint. With BESTcolor and their paper,
you can use their canned profiles and should get good results. BEST also
allows you to do custom profiling for any paper you care to try. BESTcolor
only comes as a PostScript RIP although there are other products like
Xposure which I suspect are not built on a PS RIP.
ImagePrint clearly gives you a choice of PostScript or not. The base package
-- at $495 is hard to beat. But, you're pretty much stuck with their canned
profiles which everyone tend to think are very good especially in the grays.
Custom profiling on the other hand is not so easy with ImagePrint.

I'll add my question to Jeff's. Does anyone think one of the above RIPS will
