As a general trend, it seems most people serious about quality color output
(most of the people on this list!) have gone with a 3rd party RIP and have
written off the Epson driver. I'm sure with a bit of noodling it can be
made to work, but for under $500 you can make the problem go away (or
mostly away) with better software (like IP). I think you would be spending
a lot more than $500 to either buy yourself a good profiling package or
have someone make you profiles for all the media you want to use.
